Climate notes for January 26th 2024
Two storms down, some calm to come, maybe?
It's hard to believe that we're down to the end of January already. It's been a long month. A strong reminder of how weird the climate has become with record winds, low temps followed by high temps and the southern hemisphere burning in their extreme summer.
All while work has been intensely busy. I'll have been on several long-haul flights in 2024 already, and not even a month has passed. That brings a guilt, but also a narrative I can share. While I'm busy, and cannot opt out of the flights I'm taking. I am opting out of a lot more. And everyone is ok with me doing that for climate reasons. Which is refreshing. Lots done, more to do.
