Climate notes for November 3rd 2023
Another week, another storm hit this part of the world. Narrowly missing Ireland, storm Ciaran smashed through the channel islands and the Netherlands. Yet somehow, European politicians are not looking at the root cause of this, and deciding that putting more money into oil and gas exploration/extraction and subsidies is the right thing to do fOr ThE eCoNoMy.
Separately, top of mind for me, is that all of this disastrous output from mother nature is going to yield worse crops, bad food, poor quality water, etc. If we can market the fact that your fossil fuel lifestyle is a false idol for a human to adore in the first place, and link it to the fact your beer and steak will taste like shit anyway, maybe we'll see some traction.
Tabs

- Funding drama threatens UN climate summit. The UN is basically a reckless, pointless entity with this.
